You can absolutely take our 6 week workshops alone!
Our classes have a really fun and open structure to them, making it really easy to focus on your work as well as meet new people.
-
If you are taking a 6 week workshop with us, your pieces will be ready to go 3 weeks after the final date of your class.
If you are doing a clay play class, your pieces will be available 6 weeks from the date of your clay play.
Pick up days are on Saturdays, from 2-5pm
We don’t send emails or update our students, so please come anytime after your 3 week date, and your pieces will be ready for pick up.
-
For our 6 week workshops, we will fire up to 6 pieces per student. We put emphasis on planning our pieces versus just making.
Our Clay Play classes, students will usually leave with one piece - sometimes 2 if time permits.
-
We’re so sorry to hear that you have to miss a class. Unfortunately, we do not provide make up classes.
However, please always let us know, we do our best to try to slot you into another class. Just please remember that this happens rarely, and is not at all guaranteed.
-
Yes, we can absolutely accommodate cancellations or refunds up to 10 days prior to a workshop date.
Once you are under 10 days, we cannot issue a refund or cancel a workshop.
Please email us for any changes.
-
Although you might not find it easy to imagine pieces or be able to plan pieces from start to finish, this comes with time, and has nothing to do with the creativity one has.
We believe everyone is creative and should be doing something hands on. We will also help you through ideas and can come up with something pretty great together.
-
Amazing! Sounds like you’re on the right path.
Everyone learns at a different pace, and really failure is part of the journey. You can’t succeed at something unless you are terrible at it first.
We are very hands on with our students, so please let us know where you think you are having trouble and we can focus on progressing that.
-
Just yourself! Everything for the workshop is provided.
If you are feeling spicy, you can always bring an apron or some snacks/drinks to have throughout the workshop.
-
For private events, we can accommodate up to 10 people for hand building or 2 people for wheel throwing.
Larger wheel throwing classes will be available in January 2025.
-
I would love to have you! Please reach out using our contact page and we will schedule in a good time for you to have a look around.

From time to time, I take on pre-orders or wholesale orders, please reach out using our contact page, and
I will update you with a timeline and the process.
-
I do, however, this depends on time and current production schedule.
Please reach out to us with your ideas and a timeline using our contact page, and we will get back to you with more information.
Policies
Prior to your workshop
A few things to note prior to your workshop.
Although nails are so pretty, unless you are hand building, they really tend to get in the way. If you are committed to really learning the steps, please make sure to trim your nails down all the way. If you are hand building, this poses less of a problem but will still be more comfortable.
Clay is mud, and mud is dirty. Your clothes and shoes may get dirty. Most of the clay should wash out fine, occasionally it will leave some marks.
Something to note - there is no space in our studio that isn’t covered in dust and or clay. What this means is that anything that comes in with you (coats or purses) may also get dirty. Just be aware of this prior to your workshop.
Studio Risks
Noor Ceramics Studio & Pot Spot Studio are not responsible and hold no liability with regards to studio risks. When you sign up for a workshop or visit our space, you agree to hold the studio, its owners, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation, including any accidents or injuries that may occur during classes, workshops, or while on the premises. Participation and visitation is at your own risk.
Please be aware that working in a ceramics studio involves certain inherent risks. These include, but are not limited to, exposure to free-flowing silica dust, which may pose respiratory risks, contact with raw clay materials, and the handling of glazes that may contain potentially hazardous chemicals. Additionally, kilns operate at extremely high temperatures and improper use or accidental contact may result in severe burns or injury. It is your responsibility to follow all safety guidelines and wear protective gear when necessary. By participating in any activities at the studio, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
If in doubt, please follow the instructions of your teacher and/or ask us questions to better understand our processes.
Refunds & Reschedules
We understand that plans change, and so we try to accommodate as best as we can. We offer refunds and cancellations up to 10 days prior to the start of your workshop. This means a full 10 days prior to your start date for a full refund or cancellation.
We are a small business, and when someone cancels their stop in their workshop, it leaves us open for a seat. Often this seat cannot be filled last minute and ultimately impacts the business and the workshop in general.
We do not offer reschedules or missed workshops, if you are going to be missing a class, you are going to be missing it. Most of our workshops are full and in order to pop you into another workshop for a missed date, there would need to be an open seat.
Please let us know if you will be missing a workshop and we will of course do our very best to try to find an alternate for you if time or space permits.
Broken work
We hate when this happens and it really happens almost never. But occasionally there is an accident. This is a ceramics studio, and it is high traffic, there are very few times when something might end up broken, and we are so sorry for this. We do our best to remind people visiting the studio that everything is breakable and to be extra careful.
Besides accidents, Kenneth the Kiln sometimes will blow things up while cooking our pieces. This is rare and we do our best to teach our students how to avoid this from happening. We will always let you know if this happened to your piece in the kiln and will more likely then not have an explanation as to why it happened.
