Texture Bud

Creating this glaze was so fun and took months of testing. Still, it yields different results every single time it goes through a firing. Temperature, placement in the kiln, thickness and method of layering the glaze all play a role in how these pieces turn out after a glaze fire.

This glaze is really important to my work. It brings full circle my childhood and years spent at the sea in Eastern Europe. Reminding me of sea urchins, shells, rock formations and coral from home.
